This decision followed a special meeting held on Thursday, 10th October 2024, where a request from the EKSU Students’ Union Executives for a 21-day extension was considered.
The request for the extension was made in light of the challenges students have faced due to recent flooding caused by heavy rains, which severely affected their environment. After careful discussion, the management empathized with the students and acknowledged the impact of the disaster on their preparation.

As a result, EKSU management has agreed to grant a one-week extension to help students adequately prepare for their upcoming exams. Below are the new dates for the commencement of examinations across various levels:
1. 300-level students’ exams will now begin on Monday, 21st October 2024.
2. 100 and 200-level students will start their exams on Monday, 28th October 2024.
3. 400 and 500-level students’ exams will commence on Monday, 25th November 2024.
The university management has urged students to utilize this extra time wisely and prepare thoroughly for their exams. All decisions are final and have been communicated accordingly.
